My Bio
I was born and raised in Oklahoma. As a child I spent a lot of time with my Grandparents who took me hunting and farming up near the beautiful plains of Enid Oklahoma. I studied art in class thru my middle and high school years. I took a few art classes in college but never completed these do to life issues. Art has always been a piece of my heart even when I was unable to create for over a decade due to normal life issues. I have done some photography and some pencil/graphite pieces over the years as a way to keep in touch with my artistic side. After the tornado on May 20, 2013; I saw that my former high school art teacher Gerald Kirkes had a house and property that was highly damaged. I gathered my family and we went to help with what we could for the weekend. I saw busted up art supplies all in the debris and thought what a waste. It was then that I decided to get back into doing pottery. My teacher encouraged me to get back into art and showing my children what can be done. I started back into pottery, my usual art form. In July of 2013 my family and I went on vacation in Missouri and Arkansas. While in Eureka Springs, Arkansas my wife's aunt took us to a shop that belonged to an artist. My wife fell in love with a couple of paintings that cost quite a bit of money. I told her I could paint these paintings. So she told me then why don't you paint then. So I then decided to attempt painting. I am enjoying painting as much as anything else these days. I hope that you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoyed creating them. Some are for fun and others have messages, but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Good to see you here Jason. I would love to see Mr. Kirkes again. It's been years. Glad to hear you helped him during challenging times. We never know what life might hit us with. I am really excited about your work. You have developed a real talent. Keep it up.
Thanks Bryan I'm trying. Lol. Your quite talented yourself. Mr. Kirkes is living down southeast oklahoma on a lake somewhere. If you go to my Facebook page I have his wife as a friend. She was a teacher also, I think the typing class.
